Ikea Buy Back Scheme Launches In the UK

Ikea Buy Back Scheme Launches

If you are looking to grab some new furniture from Ikea, now the stores have re-opened, you may be interested to hear about the newly launched Ikea Buy Back Scheme.

Ikea will give you up to 50% of what you paid for your old Ikea furniture, depending on the condition it's in.

How does it work?

You go onto the Ikea website and use the new Buy Back Estimator Tool. This tool will then give you an estimated price on it's value. As a rule of thumb, you can expect the following to be a rough guide:

  • As new – no scratches/damage: 50% of the original price

  • Very good – minor scratches, little or no damage: 40% of original price

  • Well-used – several scratches, minor damage: 30% of original price

Once you have your estimate, you then bring your assembled Ikea furniture, together with your estimate, to your preferred IKEA store, (Most stores are offering this service, but not all)

An Ikea team member will assess the furniture in person, then give you the final agreed value as an IKEA refund card, which can be used to put towards new Ikea furniture/goods.

Your furniture will then be resold to a new home via the stores bargain corner department.
