Major Changes To The Morrisons More Card Announced





Morrisons have announced a major shake up to it's Morrisons More loyalty card scheme, from May 2021.. Here's what the supermarket have said:


From Monday 10th May 2021 Morrisons More Card scheme will change from a points based card scheme to a money off and instant rewards based programme delivered through the More App on your mobile phone & website. From Monday 10th May 2021 Morrisons More Points are no longer applied to your shop, instore and online and including Cafe, giftcards and fuel. You can continue to use your Morrisons More Card to receive personalised offers based on what you buy plus many more benefits:

  • Personalised offers - digital coupons with pounds off your next shop replacing points

  • Instantly activate - tap the offers in the app - or click on the website - to activate offers

  • Zap the app - Once your offers are activated, scan your barcode in the app on your smartphone at the till - your savings will be deducted from your shopping automatically

  • Be in-the-know - about our store events and offers

  • Helpful services - access are at your fingertips in the app or website

When is this change happening?

The change will come into effect on Monday 10th May 2021


What happens between now and when the current scheme ends?

Until Sunday 9th May 2021 everything remains the same, you will continue to earn points, redeem £5 vouchers and receive personalised offers instore, online and through the More App.


What happens when the More card scheme ends?

From Monday 10th May 2021 you need to continue to present your physical card at the checkout or digital card when you shop so we can continue to send you personal offers relevant to you. In order to view these offers you need to download the App or login to your online account where you can activate the offers you like. You will no longer earn points.


Can I still use my More Card?

You can continue to use your physical More card and/or your digital More card if you already have one. However, in our commitment to reducing plastic waste we are phasing out plastic cards. If your card is lost, damaged or stolen we will not send out a new replacement card. Instead, you will need to download the App to access your digital card.


What happens to my points when the scheme ends?

Any points on your account when the scheme ends on Monday 10th May 2021 will remain valid until Monday 9th August 2021. From now until Monday 9th August 2021 you will need to do the following: If you currently choose to save your £5 vouchers from the 10th May 2021 you will need to request your £5 voucher(s) via the app / online account. Any remaining points will be void (For example, if you have a balance of 6,500 points you can redeem 5,000 points but the remaining 1,500 points will be void as More points do not have any monetary value) If you have your £5 vouchers set to automatically print in store you do not need to do anything, if you are due a £5 voucher this will print automatically when you next present your More Card. Any points below the value of 5000 will be void ( More points do not have any monetary value until a balance of 5000 points is reached )


What happens to my £5 vouchers when the scheme ends?

Your vouchers will be available for you to request until Monday 9th August 2021 and you can use in the usual ways:- If you have printed your £5 vouchers these will be valid for 56 weeks from the date they printed and can be used as before at the till If you save your vouchers you will need to log into your App / Online account and request your vouchers to use in store or Online. £5 vouchers will be valid for 56 weeks from requested / printed date

Any remaining vouchers on your account after Monday 9th August 2021 will become void


I have points on receipts which I need to add to my More account, can I still do this after Monday 10th May 2021

Yes, from Monday 10th May 2021 you will have 30 days to claim your points for any receipts you have which are for transactions prior to Monday 10th May 2021 via any in-store Customer Service desk. You may not add points from more than 2 receipts in any 14 day period. (as per current T&C)

From Tuesday 8th June 2021 you will no longer be able to claim points


Who made the decision to change the More card?

Our Executive Committee and Leadership Team have listened to our customers and have responded to their feedback.


Is it still going to be called Morrisons More Card?

We are currently reviewing the name of the scheme and we plan to update it.


When will I find out more about the changes to the Morrisons More Card scheme?

We will be communicating to our customers by email, letter and coupon at till from Monday 15th March 2021.


If I register to the More scheme post More Points ending (10th May 2021) will I receive a More Card?

No, we are really focused on the environment and reducing our plastic waste and to help with this our More card will move to digital only. You will need to download the Morrisons More App and your digital card will be available within the App.


What happens with my digital saver stamps?

Our digital saver stamps will not change this year, however to support our goal in reducing paper waste we would really like you to change your preference on your clubs to receive your stamps digitally, this way you have the option to use online or in store


What happens if I want to leave the scheme when the changes have been made?

If you no longer wish to be part of our loyalty scheme, please contact our customer service team. If you want to manage your marketing preferences, you can do so at morrisons.com/preferences


I really like the promotions I get with the More card, how will this change?

You will continue to receive great offers & promotions from Morrisons based on what you buy. These offers will be money-off which you can redeem instantly. You will also have the chance to win great prizes and support local communities. To take part in these great offers you need to scan your digital or physical card at the till when you shop, all your promotions will be shown on your More App / online account


What happens if my card is lost, stolen or damaged?

You will no longer receive a physical card if your card is lost, stolen or damaged after Monday 10th May. But you will have access to your digital card by downloading the App and logging in with your online account details.


What if I do not have a smartphone or an online account?

You will still be able to scan your physical More card at the checkout, so we can tailor your promotions to you, however to take part in the promotions you will need to use your More App on your mobile phone / online account.


Once I have requested my £5 voucher can I change my mind and receive it in a different way?

No, from Monday 10th May once you have requested your voucher to either print at the till, to have it loaded to More Card or as an Evoucher, you cannot change it to receive it in a different way.
