Amazon Spring Deal Days 2026: What Deals To Expect And How To Get Cashback

Amazon Spring Deal Days returns from 10th to 16th March 2026. Here’s what deals to expect and the limited ways UK shoppers can still earn cashback.

What Amazon Spring Deal Days Are And How The Sale Works

Amazon’s Spring Sale Is Back But Cashback Is Much Harder To FindMost people associate Amazon’s biggest deals with Black Friday or Prime Day. Those are the events that dominate headlines and social feeds every year. But Amazon now runs several retail promotions throughout the calendar, and one of the first to arrive each year is Spring Deal Days.

The event usually lands in March and acts as a seasonal sale across a wide range of products. This year the promotion runs from 10th March until 16th March 2026, with discounts appearing across categories such as home and kitchen, electronics, beauty, toys, fashion and everyday essentials.

Some of the offers appear as soon as the sale launches, while others are released gradually throughout the week. Amazon often introduces new deals twice a day, which means certain items drop in price without much warning and can disappear again once the available stock has gone. For shoppers who already use Amazon regularly it can be a useful moment to pick up items they were planning to buy anyway. For everyone else it can quickly turn into an endless scroll through products that feel tempting simply because they are labelled as a deal.

How the Amazon Spring Deal Days sale works

If you have never browsed one of these events before, the number of offers can feel overwhelming. Amazon lists thousands of discounted products during the week and uses several different systems to organise them.

Some items appear as Lightning Deals, which are limited-time promotions that run for a set number of hours or until the stock sells out. These are usually the offers that disappear the fastest.

Amazon also highlights certain promotions as daily headline deals, alongside curated lists such as a Top 100 deals page designed to surface the most popular discounts. These lists can be useful because scrolling through the entire sale catalogue rarely leads to the best bargains.

There are also tools built into the site that can help shoppers track offers. If a Lightning Deal has not started yet, you can choose to watch it and receive a notification when it becomes available. Wish List alerts work in a similar way. If something you have already saved drops in price during the event, Amazon will notify you.

Do you need Amazon Prime for Spring Deal Days?

One of the most common questions people ask when these events appear is whether a Prime membership is required to take part.

For Spring Deal Days the answer is no. The discounts are available to everyone, so you do not need a Prime subscription to browse or buy the sale items.

Prime members do still receive some advantages though. Faster delivery slots are often easier to secure, and certain products may qualify for next-day delivery. Amazon continues to offer a 30 day free trial for new Prime members, after which the service costs around £95 per year.

For households that already use Prime Video, Prime Music or other services within the membership, the subscription can represent decent value. But the Spring sale itself does not require a subscription to access the deals, but without Prime, delivery charges may apply and they will eat into any savings you could make, so taking out a free 30 day Prime trial ,is a good way to get the free Prime delivery, just remember to cancel the trial if you don't want to pay for it afterwards!

What products usually see the biggest discounts?

The types of items that appear in the spring sale often follow seasonal shopping patterns.

Home and garden products tend to feature heavily. As the weather improves, retailers begin promoting outdoor furniture, garden tools and home improvement products, so these categories often receive strong discounts during the event.

Fashion also sees increased promotion. New seasonal clothing ranges appear around this time of year, which means spring wardrobes, travel accessories and footwear often appear in sale listings.

Retail data also suggests spending linked to seasonal events increases during this period. Mother’s Day shopping tends to drive demand for items such as flowers, gift hampers and small personal gifts, which can appear more frequently in promotional offers during the same period.

Some of the less well advertised bargains can also be found in everyday household products. Previous spring sales have included reduced prices on cleaning supplies, toiletries and pantry staples. These deals rarely receive the same attention as electronics or gadgets, but they can still help lower the cost of items people already buy regularly.

Amazon Haul Savings

Another area worth keeping an eye on during the sale is Amazon Haul, which is Amazon’s newer low-cost section aimed at competing with platforms like Temu and other budget marketplaces.

The idea behind Amazon Haul is that it focuses on lower priced products, often under £20, with discounts appearing on items such as accessories, home gadgets, small electronics and everyday household bits.

Amazon has included discounts in the Haul section during the Spring Deal Days promotion as well, so it can be worth checking if you are browsing for cheaper items. That said, it is always sensible to compare prices with other marketplaces that specialise in similar products.

Sites like Temu often run aggressive promotions and sometimes come out cheaper on identical items.

One important difference to keep in mind is cashback. Platforms like Temu frequently appear on cashback apps and cashback websites, which means you can often earn a small percentage back on your purchase.

Amazon Haul purchases don't qualify for cashback in the same way. So while the headline price might look similar, the final cost could end up being lower on another platform once cashback is factored in.

As with most online deals, a quick comparison can sometimes reveal which retailer is actually offering the better value.

Can I Earn Cashback On My Amazon Purchases?

If you have followed deal hunting for a while, you might remember that Amazon cashback used to be relatively easy to stack with discounts.

Several cashback websites and apps previously tracked Amazon purchases, allowing shoppers to combine sale prices with cashback rewards. That situation has changed significantly over the past few years. I used JamDoughnut all the time for earning Amazon cashback, it really helped save me money, however Amazon stopped allowing most cashback platforms to track purchases, which means the majority of cashback apps no longer offer rewards on Amazon transactions.

For shoppers specifically searching for ways to earn cashback during Amazon sales, the options are now much more limited than they once were.

The Rakuten workaround

One of the few remaining ways to earn anything back on Amazon purchases comes through the cashback service Rakuten, which I've spoken about on the blog here.

If you install the Rakuten browser extension, you may occasionally see a prompt appear when visiting Amazon offering £1 cashback if you activate the offer before completing your purchase.

If you install the Rakuten browser extension, you may occasionally see a prompt appear when visiting Amazon offering £1 cashback if you activate the offer before completing your purchase.

The promotion is normally limited to five uses, meaning you can earn up to £5 in total cashback from Amazon orders. It is not a huge saving, but given how few cashback opportunities remain for Amazon purchases it can still be worth activating if the offer appears.

Rakuten also offers a £25 welcome bonus when you sign up using a referral link and spend £60 or more with a participating retailer (or a mixture of retailers within 90 days of signing up through someones referral link) It is worth noting that Amazon purchases do not count towards that qualifying spend, so the bonus would need to be triggered through another retailer before using Rakuten for Amazon purchases.

Cashback through Amazon Fresh

There is one other cashback angle available, although it applies specifically to groceries rather than general Amazon purchases.

Airtime Rewards offers around 7% cashback on orders of £25 or more placed through the Amazon Fresh website. The cashback reduces the cost of your mobile phone bill rather than being paid out directly.

There are several conditions attached to the offer:

The £25 minimum spend must apply to products sold directly through Amazon Fresh itself. Orders placed through partner supermarket storefronts on the platform such as Morrisons, Iceland or Co-op on Amazon are not eligible.

There are also several payment restrictions. Transactions made using Samsung Pay, American Express, Curve cards, PayPal, PayPal Credit, Amazon Pay, store cards, prepaid cards or gift cards will not qualify.

Instalment payment services such as Klarna, LayBuy, Afterpay and ClearPay are also excluded.

It is a fairly specific offer, but if you already order groceries through Amazon Fresh it can still provide a small saving.

A useful Amazon Fresh trick

If you use Amazon Fresh regularly, there is one search trick that can occasionally uncover heavily discounted food.

Typing the phrase “reduced shelf life” into the Amazon Fresh search bar will surface products that are approaching their use-by date and have been discounted to clear.

It is essentially Amazon’s version of supermarket yellow sticker items. The selection changes constantly, but you can sometimes find surprisingly good reductions this way.

Early mornings tend to be the best time to check, as that is when many of the reduced items appear in the system. I have personally seen some very good deals using this method, including a post-Christmas turkey reduced to around £10 that would normally cost several times that price!

Amazon is not the only retailer running spring sales

While Amazon’s promotion attracts plenty of attention, it is not the only retailer running spring discounts at this time of year.

Other major retailers such as Argos and Very have launched competing sales in previous years. For shoppers this can actually work in their favour, as several retailers competing for the same customers often leads to better pricing across the market. Again cashback apps often offer cash back for competitors, so factoring that in can make the difference as to whether to buy from Amazon, with little chance of cashback, or through a rival retailer, but taking advantage of cashback to bring the cost down, and some cashback services such as the subscription cashback service Complete Savings, offer a minimum of 10% cashback which can make a big difference to your wallet!

Comparing prices before buying can sometimes reveal that the same product is cheaper elsewhere. You can use the free website CamelCamelCamel to track Amazon price changes to see the pricing history of a product, so you can decide if the 'great saving' advertised, is actually as good as it seems to be!

A sensible way to approach the sale

Large online sales are designed to encourage browsing. The constant flow of new deals can create the feeling that you might miss something if you do not act quickly.

The most practical approach is usually much simpler. Make a short list of items you actually need before the sale begins and check those products during the event rather than scrolling endlessly through deal pages.

If the sale reduces the cost of something you were already planning to buy, that is a genuine saving. If it persuades you to buy something you had not even considered before, it probably is not.
