The ASOS, everything under £8 sample sale is back On September 20th!
The popular online sales event, which is only available for a limited time for UK customers, is back on Friday 20th September. It allows the online retailer to clear older ranges and excess inventory at a fraction of the normal cost for shoppers.
The online sale offers a range of clothes, shoes, and accessories for a maximum of £8 each. Last year, everything was £5, so I'm not sure whether it's a price increase or if they have some even better/more expensive products up for grabs! That said, the majority of items I've had a peek at are priced between £3 and £5, so either way, it's a good way to get a decent discount off the item's normal/full price, and fans of the popular brands stocked by the fashion retailer get the chance to snap up a bargain! The prices are so good that the dedicated ASOS sample sale website gets really busy. Items sell really fast and go out of stock quickly, especially as several of the products are only available in tiny numbers, some literally having just one available, emphasising that some of these offers really are samples and may not have even made it onto the main ASOS website as part of a current range, they literally are one-off samples from ASOS-owned brands! It's a clever and efficient way for the retailer to sell excess stock; it's a great way for ASOS to clear seasonal products that haven't shifted well for various reasons, such as all the poor weather this year affecting the purchasing of hot weather clothing, as everyone has been back in their Autumn clothing as it's been so wet and miserable, so the sample sale site is part of the companies plan to clear stock ready for new ranges and seasonal items to come in. You'll find a range of clothing, over 2000 different items at the time of writing this, from various departments. Items such as menswear products, ladies clothes, shoes and accessories are up for grabs for a hopeful shopper. A top tip when browsing the site is to filter the products by size and also availability to ensure that what you're seeing on your screen is available in your size and is also still available to buy, as it can be frustrating and cause a lot of confusion when you find something you like to find out then its sold out already! On top of the item cost, you need to factor in postage costs, so although you are getting competitive prices, you need to factor in the shipping charge. Delivery is £3.50, and its a between 3-5 days delivery time for your bargains to arrive. The more you buy, the more cost-effective the shipping charge is, but unlike the main website, you may be unable to find more items to buy as there is less choice, and what there is goes quickly! If you buy from the ASOS sale website, you still have the same rights as if you purchased from the normal website at the regular price. Even though you've bought from a dedicated pop-up website, it's still part of ASOS, and so you can request a return within 14 days. As long as you return the items before the end of 28 days, you'll get a refund; however, there is a £2 returns charge for sending products back. Fashion fans and entrepreneurs have been seen selling their selection of recent Asos items on selling sites such as eBay, Poshmark and similar sites as when you've only spent a fiver on something, and looking at the price of current-season items on the ASOS website and referencing the original price, ASOS fans are snapping up the bargains and making these savvy sellers some extra cash, so its turned into a nice little side hustle ASOS hack business for some! You can view the deals via the legitimate pop-up website HERE. If you can't see anything you like, it's worth coming back and checking again later, as they do add extra items from time to time, but on the whole, when it's gone, it's gone!
