Co-op has launched its latest freezer deal, and it’s one worth looking at if you’re feeding a family on a budget.
Co-op members can pick up five frozen items for just £6.
Non-members will pay £6.50, so it's worth spending the £1 to join if you haven’t already. Membership provides access to multiple price drops and exclusive member-only discounts.
The current offer is valid until August 5th, 2025, in participating stores.

What’s in This Month’s Co-op Freezer Favourites Deal?
These are the items included in the current £6 Freezer Favourites Deal :
Dr Oetker Ristorante Mozzarella Pizza 335g
Rowntree's Push Up 6x80ml
McCain Smiles 454g
Birds Eye 8 100% Crispy Fish Fingers 224g
Rowntree's Mango Stick 4x70ml
Bought separately, this would cost £15.35. As a Co-op member, you save £9.35, while non-members save £8.85; however, you’ll still pay more than members, so spend that £1 on a membership!
Is the Freezer Favourites Deal available in all Co-op Stores?
Not always. Co-op store offers can vary depending on the region you live in. See more information here.
In my town, there are two stores just two miles apart. One counts as a “Southern” store, the other doesn’t. Each has different deals, even when they’re this close together, so it can be a bit hit and miss, and in my opinion, a tad confusing, and unnecessary to have different deals in different Co-op stores, but The Co-op isn’t one single business. It’s a group of separate co-ops, including:
Co-op Group (the biggest one, based in Manchester)
Each operates under the Co-op brand but is legally independent. They make their own decisions about pricing, stock, and offers.
So, to check the availability of deals, use the “find your nearest Co-op store” tool on the Co-op website or app.
Joining as a member for both store types means I never miss out on member prices, regardless of which store I shop at.
Can You Stack the Deal with Other Offers?
Sometimes, yes. Co-op members often get extra weekly rewards. Look out for offers like 50p off any McCain product or discounts from the same brands included in the freezer deal. If you're lucky, you'll find that the two deals stack, which means you'll save more, and this happens fairly often in my experience.
Are there similar freezer favourite deals elsewhere?
Other retailers also offer freezer-type deals. Iceland often runs a 10 for £10 Mix & Match deal, which can include frozen items, and the Iceland Multibuy Deals page often has some unbeatable deals too.
Other food retailers offer discounts on frozen foods, but typically as individual discounts rather than as frozen food bundles, but if you know of deals I've missed, let me know!
The Iceland deals can be made even better by using a gift card cashback service such as JamDoughnut to earn cashback on your food shop. (Iceland gift cards can't be used online)
Is there a way to earn cash back on the Co-op Freezer Deal?
Right now, Co-op doesn’t support cashback through gift cards, so you won’t earn on platforms like JamDoughnut.
However, if you use Complete Savings, you may earn 10% cash back on your purchase.
Chase Bank customers can earn 1% cash back when using their debit card, as part of the card's cash back program.
Students can also save an extra 10% off in-store with a valid student discount card. Not all student IDs work though; you'll need to get a special barcode from the Student Beans app for England Co-op stores for your discount (which isn't available on all items you can purchase, such as alcohol, lottery products and more), and if you are in Scotland, you can use the Young Scot app to claim your student discount.
The student discount may not be valid in all stores. Please ask before paying. Additionally, the Young Scot discount can't be used at self-service tills. Furthermore, staff discounts may not stack with Co-op membership discount coupons.
Is the Co-op Freezer Deal a Good Deal?
It depends on whether you’ll use everything in the bundle. For families like mine, it’s a solid deal.
Our 8-year-old is fussy, and having freezer staples like chicken dippers, chips, and ice cream provides us with easy, go-to meals that require minimal stress, especially when time is short!
It’s not the most nutritious bundle, but it's filling, easy and affordable, and right now, those three things matter more than ever for many families, and after all they do say eat what you like, in moderation, so as long as these type of convinece foods aren't all you eat, you'll be fine when you also include healthier food in your diet.
Why Deals Like This Matter
In my local area, many families are stretched. Food banks are under pressure.
While some argue that deals like these aren’t the healthiest, they do offer families an affordable way to feed children, and that counts.
Schools help with hot meals during the week, but parents still need options at home.
If that means relying on a freezer deal to get through the week, that’s okay.
It’s better than going without.
Can You Get the Co-op Freezer Deal Online?
Yes, the Co-op Freezer Favourites deal is available both in-store and online via the Co-op website.
Co-op food delivery starts from £1.99. Check for promo codes or free delivery offers to help cut that cost.
Where the Co-op Freezer Deal isn't available
Member prices don’t apply in:
Independent societies like Midcounties, Central England, Southern, or Chelmsford Star
Co-op franchise stores
Non-Co-op branded shops like Nisa
Prices and availability may also vary online.
Should I become a Co-op member?
A one-off £1 joining fee is required to become a member, but it's better value to spend that £1 and get the maximum discounts every time you shop, you'll make that £1 back in savings really fast!
