It's the summer holidays, the kids are off, the cupboards are empty, and the living room looks like a bomb has hit it!
And like every school break, the question is the same: how do you keep the kids entertained without spending a fortune?

What Is Kids Pass?
A Kids Pass membership unlocks discounts on everything from theme parks to cinema trips, helping families enjoy more for less.
You use it through their app or website. You show your digital pass or get codes to redeem offers.
The discounts include:
Cinema tickets
Days out
Restaurants
UK holidays and short breaks
It’s designed for families who regularly spend money on leisure activities, or if you just want to give it a try as part of the cheaper trial, it could be a cheap way to entertain the kids for a month!
What Kind of Discounts Do You Get?
Here’s what you can expect:
Up to 40% off at UK cinemas like Vue, Odeon and Cineworld
Kids eat free offers at restaurants including Frankie & Benny’s, Giraffe, and Brewers Fayre
Up to 50% off attractions such as Go Ape, Diggerland, Drayton Manor and Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Discounts on UK getaways, including offers with Butlin’s and Haven
The offers vary by location. Some are only valid on off-peak days. It's best to check the app before booking.
How Much Does Kids Pass Cost?
£1 for a 30-day trial
£3.99 per month after that
Or £39.99 if you pay for the year
You can cancel during the trial if it’s not for you. There’s no requirement to continue beyond the trial, and cancellation is easy.
Is It Any Good?
We used Kids Pass over a single weekend and saved money on things we’d planned to do anyway.
Three cinema tickets: saved £11.70
One kids-eat-free meal: saved £6.99
That’s £18.69 saved in one day. We didn’t have to change our plans or jump through hoops. We just opened the app and used what was available.
What’s the Catch?
There isn’t really one, other than you need to pay £3.99 a month for it, after a month's free trial, but it’s not magic either. You won’t save money if you don’t use it, so make sure you remember to check it and use the offers, its easy to forget, especially if the family is hassling you and want to book something, or go somewhere quickly, so remember to check for discounts before you pay more elsewhere!
Some offers are better than others. Some restaurants aren’t in every area. You still need to compare what’s available.
It’s not the only discount option out there. Meerkat Movies and loyalty apps can offer similar savings. Offers such as the Free Sky VIP cinema ticket deal can be useful to grab a cheap cinema ticket, cashback on restaurants or takeaways, via cashback apps, can help you save some money on food, and actually these can actually deal stack with many of the Kids Pass restaurants deals and you get your restaurant discount and then opay with a cahback gift card, which means your getting two discounts/deals!
Also, you may be able to find cheap attraction tickets on the back of cereal boxes, or crisp packets around the kid's summer holiday times, and these can help with the cost of visiting attractions, but even they aren't always the best deals, so always shop around to see what you can find.
Perhaps check to see if you can order tickets through a cashback site, rather than paying directly to the venue, it all helps!

Kids Pass can be useful, as all the deals are conveniently placed together on the website or app, which can save time if you’ve kids hanging off your leg while you try to plan something!
Also worth considering is that one membership unlocks discounts for your whole family, meaning the bigger your group, the more you save!
Also, it's not just for kids! There are savings for the grown-ups as well, including holidays, dining, theme parks, cinema and more.
Should You Try It?
Here’s what to think about:
Do you take the kids to the cinema more than once a month?
Do you occasionally eat out at chain restaurants?
Do you visit UK attractions or plan trips during school holidays?
If yes, you’ll likely save more than you spend on the pass. Try the trial. Over 1,000,000 people use Kids Pass, and they reckon the average yearly saving is £400, so maybe try it for kids holidays as a backup plan for cheap activities, even just the £1 Kids Pass trial, and then cancel if you don’t see the ongoing value in it.
We tried it. It saved us money. It won’t suit everyone. But if you’re trying to do more without spending more, it’s worth a look.
