How has Specscart revolutionised eyeglasses shopping?

Stepping into a Specscart store, you're immediately greeted by a relaxed and friendly atmosphere

There is hardly any industry that has remained unaffected by the advancement of technology. We’ve seen continuous innovation in every industry, and it takes only a few years before the latest technology starts to feel outdated, and optician services aren't excluded from this, with companies such as Specscart investing in the latest technology and equipment to make sure that its customer get the best possible service and eyewear, but at affordable prices.

Sid Sethi, the founder of Specscart, was studying at Manchester University when he saw a big gap in the eyewear market. He visited a popular eyewear chain for emergency glasses, and felt something was not right in this industry. The major problems that Sid noted included bad user experience, long lead times, and limited frames for those customers on a tight budget.

“As Buckminster Fuller said, “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”

Most people would just accept the situation, but the entrepreneur in Sid wanted a solution, and his solution was the creation of Specscart. The vision behind Specscart was to make an eyewear brand that solves the core issues of the eyewear industry. It solved four major problems: a more friendly in-store shopping experience, premium quality glasses at unbeatable prices, free 24-hour delivery, and transparent pricing.

Specscart’s in-store shopping experience

Stepping into a Specscart store, you're immediately greeted by a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Stylish glasses and frames are openly displayed, inviting you to explore and try them on. You're encouraged to take your time, trying on as many glasses as you need to find the perfect pair that complements your face shape. This unique shopping experience is designed to make you feel comfortable and confident in your choice.

The store welcomes you to browse and try on frames that take your fancy. It's a zero-pressure sales environment, with expert staff available should you have any questions. However, you can shop without help if you prefer; just ask if you need assistance.

Specscart launched its first-ever store in Walkden on the ground floor of a shopping mall. The space was small, but as the store has become more established over the last four years, it has expanded to a new storefront, four times the size of the original store. There are also now two additional stores in Bury and Urmston offering the same great selection of frames, with excellent customer service. The stores even boast a fun table football game to keep the little ones busy whilst you browse the frames!

Collect single vision orders in as little as 1 hour.

Specscart’s Bury store, which is in the Millgate Shopping Centre, also happens to be the company's headquarters and offers the opportunity to get your prescription glasses in less than an hour after placing the order! They boast a state-of-the-art glazing lab, where they use the best quality equipment and professional optometrists to process your orders with both precision and speed. Why wait for weeks at other eyeglass retailers for your glasses when you could have your glasses in the time it takes to go and have a coffee? You will need to wait a little longer if you have a complex prescription or if your prescription requires varifocal lenses.

Free Eye Test For Everyone

All Specscart stores have state-of-the-art eye test equipment. To ensure quality eyecare for everyone, Specscart offers free eye tests. You don’t need NHS vouchers to claim your free eye test at Specscart stores. You can book a free appointment online or direct with the store.

If you are looking for a great service, great frames and affordable prices, then Specscart is the ideal optician to use.
