IKEA Student Discount Hack: £20 Discount + JamDoughnut Cashback Bonus!

Heading to uni? Students can combine IKEA’s £10/£20 discount with cashback to save more on kitting out their student room and essentials.

IKEA Student Discount: Save £10 or £20 + Extra Cashback with JamDoughnut

If you're a student aged 18 or over, you can get a code for £10 off your next £75 Ikea shop, or £20 off a £150 Ikea shop, when you shop online or in-store at Ikea (find your nearest) until 19th October 2025, ideal for students starting university, making it perfect for freshers, returning students, or anyone kitting out student accommodation.

How the IKEA Student Discount Works

If you’re a student aged 18 or over, you can get:

  • £10 off when you spend £75

  • £20 off when you spend £150

The offer is valid both online and in-store at all UK IKEA locations.

To claim the discount:

  1. Join IKEA Family (free to sign up, no student email needed).

  2. Verify your student status via the IKEA website (SheerID).

  3. You’ll then receive a coupon/QR code to use in-store or online.

Exclusions: The offer doesn’t apply to IKEA food outlets, gift cards, or extra services like delivery, assembly, or kitchen planning. It can only be redeemed once per student.

How to Stack With JamDoughnut Cashback

You can supercharge this deal by paying for your IKEA shop with an IKEA gift card purchased from the JamDoughnut gift card cashback service!

Here’s an example if you went with the max discount deal:

  • Spend £150 → get £20 off (now £130 to pay)

  • Buy a £130 IKEA gift card through JamDoughnut (5.3% cashback, although this rate is always subject to change) → earn £6.89 cashback.

  • Total saved: £26.89 off what was a £150 spend!

Extra Ways to Save at IKEA

  • Bargain Corner / Clearance – Up to 50% off discontinued or ex-display items. I've saved 50% in the past by buying exactly what I intended to buy at full price, and just because of a small scratch that I would be covering over anyway!

  • Bring your own bags – Avoid paying for IKEA’s, although their famous blue bags are super helpful for lots of things around the house, and especially for students, for transporting laundry back and forth!

  • Free replacement parts – Request spares instead of buying replacements. You'll find a wide selection at the customer service desk, and you can help yourself to what you need.

  • IKEA Family perks – Exclusive discounts, free hot drink every visit, monthly £100 gift card draw.

  • Shop online marketplaces – Some IKEA products are cheaper on Amazon or eBay.

  • Tesco collection service – Skip store trips and collect from a local Tesco store. This saves time, fuel and avoids unnecessary impulse spending when going to a store!

The student offer ends 19 October 2025, so plan your big shop before then to maximise savings.
