Morrisons New Meal Deal: What’s Included for £3.65?

A supermarket meal deal is a familiar lunch option when you want to grab something quickly without spending a fortune. Pick a sandwich or wrap, add a side such as crisps or fruit, choose a drink, and you’ve got lunch sorted for one set price.

There’s more to choose from than a basic ham sandwich and a bag of ready salted crisps, too, with Morrisons now adding more options to its range and cutting the price for More Card customers.

The new Morrisons meal deal now costs £3.65 with a More Card, down 10p, and includes an eligible main, side and drink. Without the card, the same standard deal costs £4.25, so having your membership ready saves you 60p. The new price started on the 28th of September, alongside a range that includes selected Costa Express drinks, Krispy Kreme doughnuts and the medium salad bar pot.

What is the Morrisons meal deal price?

You’ll pay £3.65 for the standard deal when you use your More Card, provided your main, side and drink are all included in that offer. Morrisons also has a separate premium meal deal at £5.50, so it’s worth looking at the price on the signs while you choose. Picking up something from the premium range could mean the lunch you expected to cost £3.65 comes to more at the till.

If you don’t have a card, Morrisons More is free to join, so you don’t need to pay for a membership to get the lower price. Have your card or the app ready to scan when you pay, or link your membership to your account if you’re shopping online. What food and drink can you choose?

Morrisons now includes selected Costa Express drinks and Krispy Kreme doughnuts in its meal deal, giving you more choice when picking your lunch. The medium salad bar pot normally costs £3.75 on its own, so if that’s your usual choice, the £3.65 meal deal with a More Card saves you 10p and includes a drink and a side as well. Check the signs in store to see which food and drinks are included in the £3.65 meal deal, as some products and sizes aren’t part of the offer.

There are sandwiches, baguettes and subs to choose from too, with the baguettes and subs freshly prepared in store. For your side, selected individual ice creams and freshly baked pastries give you alternatives to the usual packet of crisps. That gives you room to put together a lunch you’ll enjoy, although the choice will depend on what your branch has available when you visit.

If you’ve picked up your food and drink from different parts of the shop, take a moment to look at the total before paying. A different drink size or a main from the premium range could stop your combination qualifying for the price you expected. Ask a member of staff to check it while you’re at the till, when you can still swap an item if you need to.

Is it available in Morrisons Daily and online?

The deal is available in Morrisons supermarkets, selected Morrisons Daily stores and online, but you won’t necessarily find the same choices in each. For example, the salad bar and Costa Express options you can pick up in a supermarket aren’t automatically part of the online range. If you’re heading to a Daily store specifically for lunch, check that your branch takes part before making the trip.

For an online shop, choose from the eligible products on the Morrisons meal-deal page. Standard grocery delivery and Click & Collect orders have a £25 minimum, with delivery or collection charges separate under the online shopping terms, and a small-order charge can also apply to home delivery. Adding lunch to a food shop you already need could make sense, but you can’t order just the meal deal and have it delivered for £3.65.

How does Morrisons compare with other supermarket meal deals?

Morrisons has the lowest standard price among the five supermarkets in the table when you use a More Card. It’s 9p less than Asda, 20p less than Tesco and Co-op’s member prices, and 30p less than Sainsbury’s. Without a More Card, though, Morrisons costs £4.25, so the loyalty discount changes which shop comes out cheaper.

If Asda is next to your workplace and Morrisons means a drive, the 9p difference is unlikely to justify a special journey. Could meal deal cashback reduce the cost further?

Once you’ve chosen your lunch, it’s worth checking whether the way you pay could save you a little more. Look for a suitable Morrisons card in the app and check its current terms before buying, including the minimum amount you’d need to put on it.

Where you’re shopping matters here, because the standard Morrisons gift-card terms exclude Morrisons Daily, online shopping and petrol forecourts. Buying a card for a Daily-store lunch would therefore leave you with money tied up in a card you couldn’t use there. Even at an eligible supermarket, only buy more credit than you need for lunch if you’ll use the balance on shopping you were already planning.

If the salad bar is your usual lunch choice, getting the salad, side and drink for less than the salad alone is a useful saving. If you only wanted a sandwich, though, compare its individual price before adding two things you hadn’t planned to buy. Choose what suits your lunch and your budget, then make sure the More Card price appears before you pay.
