The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) offers visitors, who receive certain benefits, the opportunity to visit RHS Gardens for just £1, with its Access For All Scheme.
The scheme, which began in 2023, enables thousands of families and individuals from low-income households, who are less likely to have access to a garden at home, to benefit from visiting an RHS Garden.
The Access for All scheme runs all year round and allows visitors in receipt of Universal or Pension Credit to access all RHS Gardens for a reduced ticket price of just £1.

What benefits do I need to be claiming for the £1 RHS Tickets offer?
To be able to get the £1 tickets, and to confirm it's £1 per visitor, for up to 6 people per trip, you need to be claiming one of the following benefits:
Universal Credit
Pension Credit
Housing Benefit
Child Tax Credit
Working Tax Credit
Income Support
Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
On arrival at the garden, one member of the party must show proof of receipt of benefits. If you don't, you'll have to pay full price, so make sure you take that proof with you. Only one of the visitors needs to be claiming benefits, not everyone, and you can order a mix of adult and children's tickets for £1.
The Access for All programme is intended to make RHS Gardens more accessible to a broader and more diverse audience. It builds on existing offers of free entry to gardens for several groups.
These groups include carers with a disabled visitor, school children on guided and self-guided school visits, and under-5s, affiliated horticultural societies and community groups supported by the RHS Community Outreach programme.
Which RHS Gardens Can I Visit For £1 per Ticket?
You can buy the £1 entry tickets for the following RHS Gardens:
RHS Garden Harlow Carr, North Yorkshire - Order your £1 tickets
RHS Garden Hyde Hall, Essex - Order your £1 tickets
RHS Garden Rosemoor, Devon - Order your £1 tickets
RHS Garden Wisley, Surrey - Order your £1 tickets
RHS Garden Bridgewater, Greater Manchester - Order your £1 tickets
The RHS recognises that entry fees are just one of the financial barriers that might prevent people from visiting its gardens. To that end, it also invests in sustainable and affordable public transport options across all five sites, enabling even more people to visit.
The popular RHS Wisley shuttle bus, which runs between the garden and Woking Station and costs just £2 each way, has returned. The RHS Bridgewater shuttle bus (which stops at Manchester Piccadilly Station, Salford Crescent, and Walkden Station and also costs £2 each way) is also available again for visitor use.

About the RHS
The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) was founded in 1804 and is the UK’s largest gardening charity.
The RHS vision is to enrich everyone’s life through plants and make the UK a greener and more beautiful place through its inspirational gardens and shows, science research and advisory, extensive library collections and far-reaching education and community programmes. With over 600,000 members, the RHS also shares its horticultural knowledge and expertise with millions of people every year through its website and publications.
In 2021, the RHS launched its Sustainability Strategy, committing to be net positive for nature and people by 2030. The supporting RHS Planet-Friendly Gardening Campaign will continue to harness the power of the UK’s 30 million gardeners to help tackle the climate and biodiversity crisis.
The RHS is solely funded by our members, visitors and supporters.
