Ask For Ellen has returned for the October half-term, and you see all the information on the offer here
200,000 portions of crumpets, with butter and jam, will be given out for free during the kid's summer holidays in a new initiative called ‘Ask for Ellen’
As schools begin to close for the summer holidays, bakery giant Warburtons has partnered with Morrisons to launch ‘Ask for Ellen’ to support families through the holidays.
‘Ask for Ellen’ at any Morrisons’ café and receive a portion of two standard crumpets, with butter and jam for free – no questions asked. Ask for Ellen runs from the 17th of July to the 13th of August and will be available to everyone, all day, every day.
The offer isn't just for the kids; anyone can ask for the free meal during the promotion.
The promotion follows on from the very popular Morrisons collaboration with Heinz, where anyone could 'Ask for Henry', which would allow them to enjoy a free baked potato and beans; with the initiative being so popular, it's been offered twice, most recently in April 2023.
Ellen was the name of Warburtons founder Ellen Warburton, who first started baking back in 1876.
Jonathan Warburton, Chairman of Warburtons, commented: “Whilst the summer holidays offer a chance for families to enjoy time together, we know that the reality can be very different for many families. As the cost-of-living crisis continues to put pressure on household budgets we wanted to offer a little to support to families through the holidays. Being able to help families across the country is as important to us today as it was to Ellen Warburtons back in 1876.”
To claim your free crumpets with jam and butter, head down to your nearest Morrisons Café.
