Deliveroo, best known as a takeaway/restaurant food delivery service, have expanded their delivery offerings, to now include grocery products from supermarkets and convinience stores.

The delivery company are now delivering grocery items, same day, having partnered with a range of companies including:

  • Aldi

  • Morrison's

  • Co-op

  • McColl's

  • Shell

  • M&S

  • Many local, independent convenience stores

The new service launched during the Covid-19 lockdown, and has been very popular with those people unable, or unwilling to leave the house to collect groceries.

The range of products available via the Deliveroo app are smaller than normal supermarket ordering sites, and you are limited to the amount you can order, mainly due to the delivery drivers, delivering on a bicycle or motor bike, and therefore having a limited amount of space and weight allowance, but the service is very useful for grabbing essential food items quickly, and easily.

Delivery can be made in as little as 30 minutes, for customers within just a couple of miles of a local store, with delivery charges varying in cost, from as a little as £2.50 to £4.99.

Uber Eats are also offering a similar service from a more limited number of vendors as well, but in a smaller number of locations, than that of Deliveroo.

New Deliveroo customers can grab a £10 saving off of their next 4 orders (£2.50 per delivery), using our referral code (New customers only), and Deliveroo, also offer a special deal on delivery, by paying £11.49 per month, which gives you unlimited free delivery on orders placed over £10 per month. You can get a 7 day free trial on the unlimited delivery deal, just remember to cancel the trial if you don't want to pay £11.49 per month going forward.
