Disney+ Offer: Get Four Months for £1.99 a Month – Save £12
If you’ve been thinking about trying Disney+, now’s a great time.
New and returning customers (excluding current subscribers) can get four months of Disney+ for just £1.99 per month.
You’ll need to sign up by 11.59 pm on Monday, 30th June to get the deal. That’s a £12 saving compared to the usual £4.99 monthly price on its ad-supported plan.
How does the Disney+ offer work?
The offer is only for new or returning users, if you are already a subscriber, you can't take advantage of the deal.
If you already have a subscription, you're not eligible
After four months, the price goes back to £4.99/month unless you cancel
The offer applies to the ‘Standard with Ads’ plan.
What’s included in the ‘Standard with Ads’ plan?
You still get full access to the Disney+ library, but there are a few differences compared to the more expensive plans.
Here’s what you get:
Adverts – up to 4 minutes per hour during shows, and at the start of films
Watch on two devices at once
No downloads – you’ll need Wi-Fi or data to stream
Video quality – up to 1080p HD
Audio – up to 5.1 surround sound
How does this compare to other Disney+ plans?
Disney+ currently offers three plans:
Plan | Price | Ads? | Downloads | Video Quality | Streams | Audio | Plan | Price | Ads? | Downloads | Video Quality | Streams | Audio
Standard with Ads | £4.99/month | Yes | No | 1080p HD | 2 | 5.1 | Standard with Ads | £4.99/month | Yes | No | 1080p HD | 2 | 5.1
Standard | £8.99/month or £89.90/year | No | Yes | 1080p HD | 2 | 5.1 | Standard | £8.99/month or £89.90/year | No | Yes | 1080p HD | 2 | 5.1
Premium | £12.99/month or £129.90/year | No | Yes | 4K Ultra HD & HDR | 4 | Dolby Atmos | Premium | £12.99/month or £129.90/year | No | Yes | 4K Ultra HD & HDR | 4 | Dolby Atmos |
Could you save more long-term?
If you're not bothered by adverts and don't need offline downloads, the Standard with Ads plan could save you up to £8/month compared to Premium. That’s £96 a year.
It’s a decent saving if you:
Mostly watch shows at home
Don’t mind a few ads
Aren’t fussed about ultra-HD quality or surround sound
You can also switch plans later.Disney+ allows you to upgrade or downgrade your plan each month, providing flexibility.
What to do when the four months end
After your four months at £1.99 per month, your plan will renew automatically at £4.99 per month. |
If you don’t want to continue, be sure to cancel before the renewal date; otherwise, you’ll start paying the full price.
If you decide that you want to keep Disney, and can afford to, then it's cheaper to pay for a year's subscription in advance.
The annual standard plan is £89.90, saving £17.98 compared to the equivalent monthly cost at £107.88 for 12 months.
The annual premium plan is £129.90, saving £25.98 compared to the equivalent monthly cost at £155.88 for 12 months. If you're going to do this, the cashback service TopCashback (which we've written about here) is offering up to £13 cashback on signing up for Disney+ through them, which is a great way to save some extra money.
Disney+ is also available through O2 Priority
If you're an O2 Priority customer, you can get £2 credit each month off your O2 bill.
You can opt for the standard plan at £6.99 per month or upgrade to the premium plan at £10.99 per month.
A minimum six-month sign-up is required.
The Uber One Disney Plus Deal
A currently expired deal, but worth keeping an eye on, as Uber was offering a deal where, if you signed up for an annual Uber One membership for £49.99, you would get a free year of Disney+ Standard, worth £89.90. You did have to pay £49.99 outright, though; you couldn't pay monthly, so there is that upfront expense. However, if you want to get Disney+ at a bargain price, this is the way to do it!
Hopefully it'll be back!
